How does the season affect your wardrobe choice in a photography session?
Each season offers different color tones when photographing outside. When choosing your outfit you would want to choose a color that flatters your skin tone and the tones of the background. A complete look is when everything in the portrait flows together. Pastels are great choices to incorporate into your wardrobe for spring. Does it have to include a pastel color? No you do not have to wear pastel for spring. It really all depends on the location of the photoshoot and the colors that surround the location. Let’s say you choose a location with a city look with brick buildings or use our in-studio location you can choose any colors and outfits that would be the best fit for your look.

The biggest thing I always say is to dress for the look you want not for the weather. With spring having chilly days and warm days this is a good time to incorporate any outfit into your photography session. Sweaters, long sleeves, short sleeves, dresses, coats, jeans, etc., you can have a variety of looks. For your photography session you want a variety of looks that represent you and your style. Try to limit shorts, short dress/skirts, and trendy outfits. Anything that is too short can limit posing. Trendy outfits are fun but can age your images much quicker.
